Staff Bio | Jeremy Silva
As one of Benningfield Group's mechanical engineers, Jeremy puts his expertise in building analysis and research to work leading field teams that monitor and validate energy savings estimates as well as provide quality control and verification of proper equipment installation. In addition, he conducts research as well as provides support for a variety of subcontractors, product vendors and other stakeholders.
Jeremy has been working here at Benningfield Group since May 2007. Before that, Jeremy spent time rounding out his experience at firms where he was responsible for laying water, sewer and storm pipe, grading roads and operating heavy machinery, as well as performing on-site data collection and running energy compliance software to determine estimated energy savings.
In addition to a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from California State University, Sacramento, Jeremy holds a BPI Multifamily Building Analyst Professional Certification, HERS residential alterations, new construction and Whole House Rater certification as well as an EPA Universal Certification.
Passionate about learning how things work and how to optimize their operation, it is no surprise that when he's not at work Jeremy loves spending his time getting his hands dirty under the hood of his 1979 Chevy and 1980 Ford pickup trucks. Otherwise, you could likely find him outside, either working on his home or kayaking, fishing or camping nearby.
